The term X-Men isn’t merely referring to a bunch of spandex wearing weaboos with powers. It has included strong women from the start, you fuck heads.

By the way, I hate that I can’t get that X-Men theme on iTunes. Not the official one anyway. You can get the ringtone, which is 99% the real deal. But I want the damn theme song.

I did like they had matching X suites.

Yeah, I like some kind of conformity(?) in the suit designs. I did like Wolverine’s brown suit and how it offset the team colors. Same with Gambit.

How can you possibly make it worse than The Last Stand? As a movie, TLS isn't even bad. It's just so horribly executed. There was a good movie underneath. But this takes the cake for the worst of the series.

I’ll still get it and still probably enjoy one good showing on the big tv, but I’m ready to see what Marvel and Disney do with the property.

I feel they're going to end up doing it shitty but in an entirely new and exciting way.

Marvel isn’t adding the X-Men for a while after this whole ordeal. Had the movie done well, they may have adopted some of the cast and slowly built up an X-Men storyline within the MCU. As it stands, it’s now being benched until they can come up with a series of plot lines that can extend the franchise a further ten years.

i'm pretty easy on flicks... don't put too much thought in as far as dissecting them or all that...
in my opinion, this movie was bad!!

I'm the same. I generally just want to be entertained when it comes to films like this. Some of the X-Men stuff is so poorly done that they still disappoint even when my expectations are low. This just looks like more of the same.

I doubt we'll ever get another movie based on the Phoenix saga considering they've heavily fucked it up twice now.

Now I haven't read the comics myself but a majority say it was one of the best stories. Something like that is probably better suited to a television show where you don't have to condense an entire arc into a two-hour film.

The Dark Phoenix Saga is a great story, but the movies haven't done it justice at all. The scale of the story is important, and cramming it into a two hour film without most of the characters from the books and setting it on Earth is a mistake. It's the kind of story that I'd like to see Marvel put on the big screen at some point. They've already gotten audiences to accept an intergalactic setting with the Guardians of the Galaxy films, and they know how to handle a ton of characters.
