Saw it last night.
Pretty sure Khev was sitting next to my buddy. The two thirty something dudes next to me ate up every single joke, heart tug and Finn Force use.
I would have been happy if when our heroes sank into the quicksand, The End showed on the screen followed by rolling credits.
I though the flick was, ok for a movie that contains 97% characters I care nothing about and don't know anything about really. Saber battles were decent. Overall better than TLJ but it was nothing but a video game. Go here, look for this, talk to them, get that and bam at the Emperor.
The main things that bugged me were their vehicles. Like I mentioned about the Ghostbuster car. Our heroes get stranded in the desert needing a ride so they use the space ship that has laid dormant for a couple decades in the desert, somehow untouched by scavengers. The thing fires right up and they are flying in space with it.
Then we have Luke's X-Wing. It's been under water for at least a decade. It's pulled from the water, fires right up and she is flying in hyperspace with it.
My eyes rolled out of my skull at these.
Master Jedi Leia????
Finn can use the Force?
The ending is just a retread of ROTJ.
The giant arena full of .... not sure who they are. Sith? First Order? That are all just instantly wiped out.
Emperor can zap a fleet of hundreds of space ships yet can't get past a light saber? Zap at her feet, bro. And when the lighting is zapping back at him? Srsly?
I hope this is the end.
Should have ended with ROTJ.
Hell, Star Wars should have been one and done.
