2019 Rambo: Last Blood

The movie was basically a more brutal version of Taken. Everything is specifically setup for the ending to happen.

Rambo would have been killed early on in the flick by the mob. The character still has the drive and takes out the bad guys believably through a series of booby traps. There was a perfect spot for the character to leave us, at the ending, sitting his in rocking chair. But in western fashion, he rides off into the sunset.

An sequel that wasn't needed. The movie clips along and doesn't drag. Overall a good watch, but nothing stood out memorable like the greatness of FB and the absurd awesome action of II and III and IV.

As for the racial overtones, I really didn't see it. A friend that screwed another over and a sex slave ring that takes place in Mexico.

I saw it,
Its not that is boring, this is like a detective story, it's not that is slow, it wasn't slow, it moves the plot well.
The first hour doesnt have a lot of action but is because they are showing you the underground of mexico. They show you how the cartel kidnaps. The movie shows you the dangers to women in mexico. It has suspense and its almost like a horror movie for women.

If people hate this for the lack of action, then everyone should stop begging for a batman detective story.
Everybody should stop asking the studios for a detective batman movie because everyone would shit on that too.

The last rambo. Rambo 4 in Burma didnt have that much action either. It did have action but it took a while to set up.

Part 2 and 3 were trashy action movies, and that's what I expect.

Batman is the "world's greatest detective", it's a horrible comparison to make.
Trashy action and dumb plots are two things I never expect from a Batman movie.

>Rambo has an adoptive Mexican daughter he's been raising on the US/Mexico border. She refers to him as Uncle John.
>the daughter's mother died of cancer and her father moved back to Mexico
>The 17-year-old daughter has her druggy friend who lives in Mexico locate her father
>She goes to meet him, but the father tells her that he just wanted to pump and dump her mother, and that her being born got in the way of some good pussy and he wanted her to fuck off because she was just a whore
>The daughter's friend then sells her to sex traffickers who want her because she's a virgin
>She gets non-stop raped and tortured, and forcibly injected with heroine. She also has her face mutilated with a knife.
>Rambo goes to Mexico to find and rescue her, torturing a sex trafficker, ripping his collar bone out. At one point a sex trafficker tells him that women are just property like livestock, to be bought, sold, and discarded and that his daughter is just another whore. Rambo eventually finds his daughter, murdering a whole bunch of dudes with a claw hammer, along with trying to rescue numerous sex slaves, but they tell him that if they escape the traffickers will just kill them.
>While driving home Rambo tries to keep his daughter conscious, but she dies of a drug overdose
>Rambo then goes back to Mexico and begins murdering traffickers, cutting off one guy's head and stabbing a photo of a his daughter into the guy's chest, luring them across the boarder to his farm.
>At the farm it becomes like a slasher movie, with Rambo stalking and killing like 30 guys
>He saves their leader for last purposely leaving him alive to pin to the wall in his barn, shooting arrows into his arms and legs. He then carves out his heart while he's alive and shows him the still beating heart, having told him he wanted him to know how it felt to have your heart torn out, like he did when he killed his daughter.
