If you’re like me and you really only care about the 90s era X-Men (especially the toys, which were some of the best since TMNT), then we are very nearly at the end of the line.

I’m having a hard time trying to pin down which characters we’re missing, besides Jean Grey and White Queen. With Storm, Iceman, Colossus (two-pack), Nightcrawler, Mister Sinister, Magneto (Family set), Beast, Gambit and Jubilee... that about covers it?

I’ve never actually liked the design of the Jim Lee Iceman, so I’ll be keeping to whatever version we already have. As for Colossus, I do want the update, but I can live without it, if prices go beyond what I’m willing to pay. Don’t even care to get the new Magneto. I think the purple and red look is way too outdated and the Uncanny Magneto figure is far more intimidating. That’s one of the reasons I went with the Marvel Select Juggernaut—the Hasbro version just looks ridiculously comical.

Nothing can top Stealth Cap in terms of design, but sadly, the torso of that figure as always been a problem. I never liked how it looks in the pictures I took.

Looks like you can move his elbows some. That is about it.

Storm sold out quick. Even Mister Sinister took a while to go. And I only just noticed Nightcrawler sold out today.

He just barely lost though. Just barely. The sheer amount of luck they had to win that encounter is impressive. Granted, it’s written that way, but still—it was like watching a really close super bowl game where your childhood team’s rival gets the ball on the final play and the next pileup after a fumble decides the game.

Actually, winning by a mile matters quite a lot. If Superman punches me... I evaporate into a spurt of red mist. If the winner of Mr Universe punches me, I might actually survive.

The Marvel Legends Nightcrawler and Mister Sinister are both back up at BBTS. Storm should be coming back up soon, as fast as she sold out.

I think the only X-Men characters I need to get now are Emma Frost and the Colossus two-pack. After that, I’m done. Never thought I’d have this many X-Men figures in my collection.

Started working on the Spider-Man stuff. Picked up Green Goblin, Carnage, Mysterio, the red suited Spider Woman (don’t remember her name), the classic Black Cat, Shocker, Beetle and Doc Ock.

The BAF Lizard sucks. Going to try for the Sandman and Kraven from the two-pack next. Wish they would reissue Hobgoblin and Electro. The prices on those two are unjustifiably stupid.

By the way, does anyone have a Space Venom wave Hobgoblin they’d be willing to part ways with?
