I must be one of the few that actually ended up liking Leto’s Joker. It fit the world and went well with Harley Quinn.

..... AND THAT was the problem. He was designed as secondary to compliment Harley. The Joker from SS could not carry a film, Leto or whoever. He had little appearances and that was about all you could do with him.

The thing about TDK's Joker is he could pull off big splashy crimes with lot of moving parts. Heath Ledger sold that aspect of the character. I don't see that yet with Joaquin Phoenix's Joker.

The DCU is falling apart. To be honest, decent stand alones are probably the way to go from here on out. I don't really care what joker this is or when. As long as it's good. It's like an elseworlds comic and the trailer makes it look interesting at least.

Hot Toys loves Joker figures, so I’ll be surprised if they don’t make this one. I guess it’d be the only figure from the movie though since there don’t seem to be any other characters worth figures.

At this point the less superhero related movies take from comic books the better. It is painfully obvious that this trilions of dollars worth machine cannot be calibrated and is unable to produce good adaptations. They should focus on making good films, not blackholes of fanservice that panders to neckbeards and SJW.

Do you remember when people were buying those damn Kato custom 1/6 Dark Knight Joker socks for a ridiculous amount of money? It's been so long ago now I can't remember how much they cost, but it was several hundred dollars for each pair. It was completely insane.

I remember that. I don't have a problem with people invested in customs, but if you're doing shit like that you should have a flat screen TV broken over your head.

As for this trailer, it's trying very hard to be artsy fartsy just like that fan made version that was mistaken for being real a ways back.

The Killing Joke is the only canon origin as far as I'm concerned. Just a few flashbacks that doesn't overplay it's hand.

You cannot enjoy anything without a fucking agenda behind it. This is why I watch less than 1% of new films. I just don't even want to venture into that world anymore. I have all the classics to fall back on if I feel the need to watch a film. Same goes for TV, I don't watch it altogether. The only reason I haven't cancelled Comcast is due to not being able to piece meal my subscription and it's cheaper just to get the triple play.

As for the film, he might be very good as a young Joker but I feel everything around him will be shit. Much like Cavill as Supe. He's a great Superman, and he's given utter shit to work with.
