So far there isn't one thing I give a shit about when it comes to this movie. Hopefully the next trailer will surprise me.

The Joker doesn't need a definitive origin story--especially one that doesn't involve Batman. I still don't get why they're making this stand-alone Joker film. After this comes out...then what? If it does well then they fold him into the DCEU as Letoker's replacement? Or is it truly a one-and-done? If it is, then who cares?

WB still has their heads up their asses even with Aquaman (and probably Shazam from what I've heard about it) doing well at the box office.

It sounded interesting from the start, a must watch.

It might not be true joker but i think hes going to do something special with the character.

If its an elseworlds movie, so be it. I don't care if these flicks are connected or not. I just want good movies made with these characters. I haven't looking into this movie beyond the trailer we all just watched. I like it. They have someone that can act in the staring roll and a crew that cares about making a good movie. Batman may not exist at this time, but they could easily roll Joker right into the DCEU. Do we need his origin, no. The general public apparently likes to see that stuff so.

A Spidey-less Venom movie make bank. We'll see if a Batman-less Joker movie does as well. People always claim TDK only made money because of him......

Im just waiting to see what crimes he commits and what murders and how he goes from friendly to evil.

Funny you say Taxi Driver, because they have drug DeNiro into this. Has he ever appeared in a comic book flick? I don't think Bullwinkle counts as one. And I'm sure he denies being in that.

They definitely captured that 70s Scorsese feel for sure, and Joaquin’s definitely giving it his all. This particular teaser however did nothing to build hype. Think of how you felt the first time you saw Ledger’s Joker in motion. There was nothing like that here, not yet anyway.

I’m still remaining cautiously optimistic about the actual trailer however, once a bit of plot and some actions of more consequence are thrown in it could be interesting, it certainly seems like it’ll be dark.

On a side note the tighty whitey jokes are already becoming the prime topic internet wide

I must be one of the few that actually ended up liking Leto’s Joker. It fit the world and went well with Harley Quinn. Granted, she’s potentially in jeopardy now.
