Box office is a funny thing. It’s not a reliable indicator on if a film is good – *coughJOKERcoughBOOKSMARTcough* – but knowing how many people took spent the time and money to see a movie in theaters says a lot about what content we deem important. It’s a total bummer that a movie directed by a woman (Elizabeth Banks, who also co-wrote), and starring women didn’t succeed with movie-going audiences.

Let's be real here though. If Joker flopped and made 8 million in its opening, and this film went on to make a billion, the same "journalists" and blue checkmarks would be celebrating letting the whole world know about it. It's only when it suits their bias that box office matters/doesn't matter. People flip-flop with this like crazy and they don't realize it.

It's funny because I've heard a few say this film is good and not as woke as they were expecting.

What has she done do command such a payout? It wasn't because of Twilights performance. Because it would have made the same or better with any number of female leads.

A new flick if hers was shown, Underwater, that appears to be ALIENS copy underwater. Also has bomb threat himself TJ Miller. I'm sure it will under perform as well.

i bet i really bet the director lady was like "STUDIO YOU HAVE TO PAY THIS WONDERFUL LADIES"
it might not even be Kristen's doing, or the manager did it. Why do i say this? because Kristen has done really small indie movies before. very tiny projects. she doesnt seem like the greedy type like that. she even got nude in some indie movie a while ago.

Im willing to bet that it was other people bragging about that pay, most likely the director lady
