I just got to this part

I've been playing the game since yesterday and it's good. Being a Naughty Dog game I figured the AI would be dumb as fuck so I set the difficulty to hard, it seems to be the proper way of playing it and it has been fun so far

I still think the game holds up incredibly well for today's standards. My favorite point in the game is a ways off from that.

Some of the animations are the only thing I don't like, there's nothing actually wrong with them it's just ND's animations look odd to me sometimes.

It felt good to set those guys on fire as that one guy just warned them that everyone else was dead.

The nail bombs are so satisfyingly evil and devastating to use. Limbs go flying and it's not always the same look for the mangled bodies.

Sometimes the A.I act weird when they can clearly see your partner but don't react (Uncharted 4 had the same issue, funny enough), but generally they're quite clever and some of the best out there in comparison to other games. When you take one out, they start panicking and hunting for you.

They are blind af and I'm playing on hard, I'll try the game again on higher difficulties to see how different it is.

And I thought I was struggling, I've been a little more trigger happy in the last few areas but I never have more than 8 bullets in each weapon. I'll try Grounded after

Grounded requires a huge amount of conservation. You may get lucky some places, but you can’t Rambo the run.

The brutes and those freaky ass clickers make grounded almost impossible for me. I never actually finished it on that setting.

It’s one of the few games I platinum’d. Don’t bother with online, that shit is infuriating. There was online trophies which were a pain in the fucking ass to get.

Oh I definitely won't play online, I checked it for a few minutes and I didn't like it one bit. And yeah the clickers ruin everything; first time I found a group of normal infected with a clicker I had to shoot it and then melee the normal guys because there was no other way

It's better to play the lower end difficulties before jumping into grounded so you get familiarized with strategies and enemy placement. I think everything is the same except you might take more damage and supplies are next to nothing. I can't be sure about the damage part since I haven't played this in maybe two years, but I dumped maybe 300 hours into it.

Yeah it would have been too much to jump straight into Grounded, what I struggled with the most at first was the controls. Reload with right trigger? it takes some getting used to

The online was actually a lot of fun when the game first launched.

I don't even remember much of the controls. I'd probably be fucking up in normal mode at this point.

I think online was fun... when you weren't paired with complete retards. Whenever someone quits out, they automatically pull someone in with a level of zero...

I'm more interested in the second game now but I don't know when I'm going to get it, I'm gonna have to see more gameplay. And there were a few glitches but the game worked well for the most part, except for one time, when it decided to say "Fuck you, die!"

The game got tired of me winning and decided to just kill me, that was funny. Anyhow I might play it again on Grounded but I wish I could skip the summer section, fall and winter are so much better.

Did the PS plus version come with the Left Behind DLC? It's not a must play but it's pretty short campaign.

I think my favourite level is Bill's town since it gives me little "We don't go to Ravenholm" vibes from half life 2. The sections where you first encounter the hunters are also enjoyable as it's when the enemies start working together and everything becomes more brutal.

Having played the original a ton, aside from the first teaser for the sequel there really isn't anything in the new footage that makes me even want to bother. Instead of being an invisible layer to the plot with the SJW shit, it's now the focus.
