It was ok. Way too goofy and too many forced jokes, but the overall tone being lighter and more fun wasn't a bad thing. The wisdom of Solomon aspect was completely thrown out the window so it was basically Big with super powers.

It was a bland mess for popcorn audience to digest.

It didn't lose money (I think!?) And it got solid reviews (something the bulk of DC movies have lacked) so they're giving it another try.

I think if they throw in The Rock as Black Adam, the B.O. numbers will double.

Eh, I dunno. I think The Rock hype is starting to slow down - when he's the only lead, anyways. Didn't Skyscraper bomb? I don't think Rampage was a smash hit either.

I think Jumanji 2 - 2 will do well though.

Both Skyscaper and Rampage made double (Rampage over double) their budget at the box office. His flicks are relatively cheap to make so they don't have to set records for the film companies to be happy with the result.

Dwayne Johnson is pushing DC for a Superman vs. Black Adam. He's sick of being back burnered.

Earlier this year Henry Cavill and The Rock were both being courted by Marvel. They may both wind up in Phase 4.

So according to DC, Shazam 2 is scheduled for April 2022 and Black Adam is supposed to be out later the same year in December.
