I also started NG+ earlier and I'm on chapter 6 I think with over two hours in. I'm running through it, but I'm getting all treasures and doing all Merchant missions. You can get Leon's original knife and it's unbreakable, but you need to shoot these Salazar dolls. There's one per chapter.

I'm sorry but remake cutscenes fucking suck.
They're boring, style-less and badly directed overall.
Not to mention some of the voice acting and poor animations.

So far I don't see how anyone can like the remake outside of gameplay.
I'll take the original with actual substance between gameplay segments over this garbage.

Seriously, they should've made something very different but artistically interesting.
What they've puked out into the world isn't good B-entertainment nor good horror.
This franchise needs a fucking break.

This goes for all Capcom games though. The only thing that still has a fair degree of that Japanese Capcom charm is Monster Hunter. Everything else has been bastardized for the west.

There's a lot I like in it. It sure as fuck isn't the cutscenes or any of the characters lol. Ada is so monumentally bad. She sounds like she would rather serve on juror duty than act in this thing.

When you first encounter Krauser, him and Leon literally have a stupid John Wick slap fight which only made me laugh with how schlocky it was. The original feels way more realistic.

The story is generally the same with some tweaks. I do like that they give a back story to Saddler and he didn't just come out of thin air.

The thing that I don't get is why Leon has so many quips yet he sounds bored at times lol that would make more sense for non remake Leon by this point actually. But I also don't understand Ada's direction at all from what I've seen. Replacing the respectably (among fans anyway) received RE2make va, and the voice direction. It does feel like remake Ada doesn't have a clear direction unlike everyone else, like RE3make Jill is clearly traumatized from RE1, RE2make Leon is more naïve and thinks things couldn't get worse, RE2make Claire is harder to explain but she seems more...uneasy?

There's no clear direction of anything between games. And the fact that this one was directed by the same pair of guys who did RE2make doesn't matter at all.

Every one of his one liners that carried over falls completely flat because this dude has no confidence in anything he's saying. Like, why are you even here for Ashley at all? He's completely emotionless.

Also, the original Leon is a dream boat compared to this anti depressant taking part time Starbucks worker.

I also I want to stress again the default music in this fucking stinks compared to the original. The Castle music from the original fits perfectly with the look of the place.

I'm going to start going for S+ Pro tomorrow night. I found some playthroughs on YT to use. I would like to get to Del Lago or just past him before I start saving. You only get 15 of them and I want to use them mostly in Castle and Island. I'm going to buy an RPG for Saddler so I can just whack him early. There's also some "skips" you can do that aren't even glitches. Like opening some gates and doors early if you know what to do before hand. Like some of the gates in the castle you can open early with grenades and skip entire sections. There's bigger skips in PC since the framerate is higher.

To be honest, she did a bad job and everyone agrees but she was clearly given a bad script and terrible direction so it is not her fault. Nothing new for RE in particular. I think it's more notable by now because Ada has not really had a bad voice prior? I think in some parts, Luis sounds worse, Krauser too. Course...I'm pretty sure this is mostly newer RE fans bitching cause they are the worst.

Still ridiculous though. Why not harass Capcom?
