I paid for it earlier. Cloud is nice and all but I can't be asked to get invested in a $300 line.
Once i get Gametoys Tifa and Aeirth my life will be completeI mean, that’s what the DamToys figures were priced at. Which they should’ve been no more than $260 or $270 with how much generic reuse and tweaks of military parts they had for all the Claire and Leon figures.
And I firmly stand behind accessory packs. Sell your figures for $250 with some of their key accessories that most people would want and then you can include the extras in a pack. If people want it, they will buy it. Asmus did that with their Dante. And what’s great about that Dante pack was that it came with a new headsculpt, so that was icing on the cake.
It’s something you don’t have to have. So, when money is tight, you just get the standard release and then opt for accessory packs for figures you just really have to get everything for. The typewriter would’ve been a good one to seclude to such a thing. Is it a cool accessory? Yes. Do most fans want it? Probably. Should it have been included with Ada just to bump her up another ten or so dollars? No.
Also kind of disgusted with the greed on GameToys’ part. Cloud was initially released for what… $165? Or $180? And this bitch came with swappable arms, dude. But then Sephiroth was over $200? And Tifa is over $300. There really should have been an option to not include the bar. I’ll never use it.
In fact, I’m probably going to sell it to recoup finances. I’ll be thinning a lot of unnecessary bs from some figures and my collection in general, next summer. Hopefully, the economy will improve by then and there will actually be people spending money again.
