This fan base needs a purge!
I truly despise the zoomer gamer.
I can't wait for Ethan to mutate at the end of the game and having to kill him playing as Chris, that and only that could redeem Capcom

And seeing comments saying that RE7 is the best resident evil is disgusting! Especially with these thee fans saying the remake sucks because of the outdated controls. But they also love that abomination that was RE3R.
Journalists collectively pushing the "re7 is the best selling re game" narrative is even more infuriating, but that just shows how many new people joined the fan base. No wonder there is so much soy in the comment sections...

If the series continues with the whole first person thing I’m tapping out. I get it that they want something new but RE shouldn’t be first person at least with the main entries. Make a new IP game, they can explore that type of game with their other franchises like Clock Tower, Haunting Ground. That’s like turning Tomb Raider into a first person game or their devil may cry games. Hopefully they do kill Ethan and never see him ever again.
I saw a Top ten RE games list the other day and I wanted to throw my monitor out in the fucking street.
When did they patch out that safe spot in the room where you first see G2? I haven’t played it in months until now.

Exactly. They did? After getting the platinum I haven’t touched it and definitely not replaying RE3R.
I was doing a Leon run and he came through with his homeless fingernails right above that spot and killed my momentum for that entire encounter.

This series has lost me as a fan... went from BOW/zombies to witches and vampires and fairytales.
Who are these fucking games even aimed at anymore? Like if you didn't know what it was, you'd think it was another garden variety horror game on Steam.

RE7 and RE8 are horror games that should of been their own individual properties without having to rely on the Resident Evil brand name. This franchise is all over the fucking place that it needs to die already or reboot it. But since they’re doing a good job with the remakes.... I’m glad I can enjoy the original games and ignore this trash they call Resident Evil.
This will be the first mainline game of the series I completely pass on and just read spoilers. Given next gen games will be $70, fuck that.
