RE1-3, REmake, RE2 2019 I would consider core RE titles that even with flaws are still enjoyable.
CV, Zero, RE4-8 and RE3 2020 I would consider abysmal when it comes to survival horror and what makes it RE to begin with. I mean I can still play RE4-6 for what they are, but they're still bad RE games.
Like how is it even up for debate how fucking phoned in RE3 was? Lol it was laughably slapped together in a matter of months. The last four games including this one are all Peter Fabiano's bullshit. Cut corners, lack of replay value and generic western horror bullshit. They need to get their studios out of the US.

It needs some new writing staff. And they definitely need to commit to some sort of story arc. I wish they would just go back to raccoon. That one ending to Outbreak that teased that was one of the coolest ideas they’ve had in a while.

Even if you give the game/series a negative feedback or criticism you get attacked for having your “nostalgic glasses” on and that you need to move on from the tank controls, fixed cameras etc. The fans or people who defend tittles like RE3R shouldn’t even part of any RE discussion. I remember the first leaks or rumors for 7 going back to its roots and having zombies again yet we went with the hill have eyes, Texas chainsaw massacre game with two Easter eggs or ages sounds effects from the original games like Alyssa’s article and the mention of HCF.
