Apparently Claire being brutally killed is what made Chris snap and he doesn't give a shit about other people anymore, he just wants to get shit done whatever it takes now.

I always said Claire would be such an obvious target for Chris's enemies, I don't get how she is still alive since Wesker seems to have so many fans out there. Maybe they finally decided to do the obvious. Still, this is just a rumor for now...

I think at this point the story should just be rebooted after this then. Start clean and no one will bring any baggage into it with expectations. The series ended in RE5 and it's been stuck in this bog of nonsense ever since with no clear direction on where the fucking series wants to go. At least with the ending of CV, we knew for years there's going to be a final confrontation with Wesker.

Now these have become annual bad James Bond films with an occasional monster.

Not a fan of RE7 either really but apparently with 8 Ethan’s story may be ending so that’s good. I just need to know if Wesker is back now hahaha

@Ish_hernandez95 I need to see what they do with Alex, she's the link they need, she can be used for so many interesting plot points it's not even funny. She has to be a main villain like Albert was and she could find a way to bring Wesker back, at this point I wouldn't care about a mind copy of him. His true self is dead and can't come back, but the idea of people in the game universe trying to bring him back makes sense. Alex should copy his mind into Jake's body or something and that's it

I surprised Jill wasn’t killed 5. So no more Jake either? Lol we get Ethan which “fans” on him love him, idk why he’s been in one game with zero character development and he now has a fan base?! Lol

My biggest factor, cause we all know the “storyline” is one big ass mess at this point and we all have characters we love or hate, or don’t care for. But for me it’s the first person gameplay. Not something I enjoy playing or care for, I don’t buy first person even the RE wii games I didn’t care for. I guess Capcom is alienating fans by doing another first person game. What’s wrong with over the shoulder?

The line saying His story comes to an end or something could be referring to Chris. It better be Alex, she has a reason to hate him

I think it's just because the RE fanbase has way too many people that like different things, and considering how many different types of horror there is out there they certainly can go in may directions. In the same way that RE4 brought a lot of new fans.. RE7 seems to have had the same effect and they just want to keep going in that direction. Which is dumb but its not surprising...

I always liked these Gothic horror tropes with supernatural elements so I'm more in the I don't mind side of things, I read the leaks long ago so I was prepared for the nonsense. But even so, the few fucks I give about this game rely on Alex coming back. If it wasn't for her I'd hate this a lot more.

I would be more open minded if Capcom gave us the option from first person to third person. I get that Capcom is trying to please a certain type of fan base or simply doing first person to give it that more horror vibes or help with the jump scares but it’s turning away fans who don’t like this type of gameplay.

I would like to see Jill return, I wonder if she’s still a blonde or not. Last time we saw her was in RE5. I think Rev1 took place before the events of 5.

I wouldn't mind her staying blonde but she probably went back to normal. Her dealing with the issues she must have after being a guinea pig for years could be a game by itself. I don't get how they are not bringing her back since we are reliably informed she's the most popular female character in the franchise.

About Rev1 I think it takes place around... 2005 in the timeline, something like that, a bit before the events in Lost in Nightmares

I took a look at some of the older leaks. And I noticed that the trailer might have shown something that is derived from a RE 3.5 concept.
