I really expect more from Bestinslot. This place isn't screen accurate at all.


I mean you can only do so much with the tiny map but mine is faaar closer to the film than his.

@RavenEye do you know a definitive map to use? I've more or less referred to this among some other fan maps.

I did change a few things lately with adding the Aviary, which I made right along the western fence of that southern section so I can link a path to it, right under the Procera paddock and that entire southern section I made Brachios, Paras and Galis. I might make a paddock on the east of it for Stegos and keep them segregated. I did add some of the other dinos that were to be eventually placed like the Metria and Bary. I also tinkered with the Rex paddock slightly and added a moat sorta and added the Rex chase road which is right next to the toilet from how the camera angles in the scene change as the Jeep turns before the chase begins.

I did add some east dock signs but they go no where obviously. I'll take some pics this weekend since It's far more complete now than it was the last time I posted.

I instantly clicked that video off the minute I saw the JP gates right beside the visitor center.

There is no definitive map, Universal/Amblin has never officially released one. That's why things can get confusing watching the scenes and comparing to the map. ( Same way with Jurassic World. No definitive map either.) I don't think Spielberg was concerned on continuity as he was pacing. With my Video showcasing the park, I kinda just winged it on design by following the Movie aspect of where the enclosures might be. Giving them the fences same shape and look rather than trying to replicate paddocks from a map.

Since I still plan on buying a computer for gaming, I'm really going to see how far I can mod this game for real. If I can find a way to delete the boundary line code on Nublar 93' its game on. I'll be able to flatten that map out and also find a way to make glorious mountains. Plus then I could really have a actual dock. Which I figured out if I wanted to cheat to make a faux concrete surface. I could possibly make a terrain brush tool that makes that. However I just like all the mods now, they only replace what's in game. I need to figure out how to duplicate and add more terrain brushes. However that's when I finally get PC.

ALSO major Mod I will be doing, updating the Rex's roar. I hate that my Rex sounds like he roars then makes a guttural sound like breathing through a straw.


^ I need these sounds... like Seriously the first Roar isn't even heard in my game.

There's some crazy accurate Rex skins I've seen in the FB group that are identical to the puppet. My visitor center is the very north of the island since I can't put it west since it's too small but the gate is where it should be. If I put the center to the west, I wouldn't have the straight road leading to the gate.

The raptor pen is so weird for the tour. I have three in there to be accurate and the road only views the far right side and within that road area on the other side is the Bary. It sounds convoluted but it's not.

That's your best bet, not to mention I'm still wondering if they will do a Aquatic DLC still. Usually March is when a tease of something new is happening.

I'm curious to see some screenshots of this park you built.
I planned on playing a little tonight so I'll do it then. Any deviations I have from on screen is either from unavailable placements like the tunnel that leads to the Rex paddock or just not enough room on the island so I cut corners.

The one thing I'm pretty proud of is the heli landing site is on the most southwest section of the island and made it a fair distance from the visitor center and Brachio enclosure.

Expect a massive photo dump. I'll do my best to give descriptions of each photo.

Good lord... you made Bestinslot's look like a kindergartener. They definitely need to add the shale brush on there. I think the gravel rock terrain would help accuracy of the rex paddock road.

How many dinosaurs in total are on your map?

I had dirt for the Rex road but I figured rock would do for now as it's almost a mud texture and it's more apparent. Not sure on the count but it's gotta be 60 or so. I have 30 Galis alone.

I'd have the Visitor Center on the west side but it would hinder the size of the paddocks so I stuck it in the north.
