BBTS got Raiden in. I guess it was originally $69.99 and they marked it up to $79.99. Almost every listing on eBay is well north of $100. I don't get it.

Mic sounds good and the turntable is nice touch. Sucks the hands have caked on paint. Like seriously that's some 2006 QC issues right there.

That’s Hasbro level.
And it's the best thing it came with. The paint doesn't even match the fucking wrist pegs.

So, the Figma Jin Sakai is essentially $100 from Japan. The base Sekiro figure is a little over $90. Neither really come with that many accessories. And of the two, Sekiro looks way better. To put it into perspective, the last Figmas I got (from HLJ) were Overwatch figures and they were $70 at release. That was less than a full year ago.
Unfortunately, I don’t think I would want to add one of them to the collection without the other, so I’m probably just going to skip both. Paying $100 for a meh Jin Sakai and then hardly getting shit for accessories is a bit of a joke. I know there’s a deluxe version for Sekiro, but that should have been the only version to begin with. At $94 that would have been reasonable.
Can’t wait till these companies wake up and realize they are killing the industry with their pricing models. BBTS can’t even sell out of Marvel Hot Toys and most Mezco’s and Mafex figures seem to be clogging their shelves as well. All manner of exclusives are being swiped by scalpers this year, so obviously those have no issue of lingering around for very long.
I’ve become disillusioned with toy collecting at the moment. Who’s buying this shit? How are they justifying it? None of this stuff is worth the asking price anymore. And after this year, priorities have been realigned for many of us. Part of me hopes the industry crashes and burns.

It doesn’t even look good in all honesty. Have you seen it on HLJ or AmiAmi yet? It looks rushed. The giant seam on the side of the head looks awful and the leg construction around the knee is laughable.

Figuarts creeped up a little, but hasn’t gone ridiculous with everything yet. Mafex got dethroned, but I’m sure they’re working towards $100 figures soon. manofactionfigures is having a 30% sale until Midnight. My wife got me the Storm Collectibles Kyo off there for $104 which is an absolute steal. I spent all Summer trying to find one that wasn't $150 and up. I'm a KOF noob but it's a series I've wanted to get into for some time.

I snagged the PX Mezco Hellboy from there recently. It’s all but dried up now. Getting both versions. The movie is meh, but the figure turned out pretty great. Only Mezcos I’ll own honestly.
I bought the KOF Terry by Storm today. It's getting expensive now, I paid $165. I have Kyo and Rugal and they're some of the best SC they've done. I supposed they're not nearly as numerous as SF or MK.

I would get into Storm figures, if they weren’t completely out of scale. It’s like they took the Figuarts route, but at the opposite end of the spectrum. Neither are true 1/12 scale collectibles.
Yeah they completely fucked up the KOF line by comparison, but those figures are the best ones they've done IMO. Both Kyo and Rugal are solidly well done. If you get Terry and Iori, you can build Rugal's Gravity Smasher.
With my tax refund I'll probably finish off with Iori. I need Orochi Iori at some point and SC showed Mai recently. I guess they gave up on SF. I wanted more Ultra versions. of stuff.

After my Terry being cancelled from the seller not having it, finding another seller selling it for $200... delays with the post office. I finally got the bastard. He's not worth $200 but he is a great figure. His Power Geyser energy effect is gigantic. Iori is a bit cheaper than Terry but not by a lot. I need to get him and Orochi Iori. I'll put together the gravity smasher BAF effect whenever I get Iori. I'll probably do a new SC tour soon, like after Motaro comes out.

This week I'm going to try and start reviewing the KOF figures. I got Iori coming tomorrow, so aside from Orochi Iori, I got all the main figures now so I can make the gravity smasher for Rugal.
