The only beskar armor on the HT figure is the helmet and right spaulder. He gets a ton of beskar armor with the upgrade so it’s a pretty big difference in appearance when the two versions are side-by-side. They should have just done a DX with both options, but then they’d miss out on an easy cash grab.

That would be a pretty shit tactic to pull out an all Beskar version, instead of just including it with the figure that already has pieces of it. I’m guessing there would have to be more than just that dinky armor. It’s probably gonna come with the toddler.

It’s business decisions like this that are honestly killing the joy of the hobby. You release two versions for pre-order months apart and one is essentially the “let’s get em when their backs are turned” edition.

Yeah, so uncharacteristic of them...

Joker hits a billion and will prolly be up for Oscars. Nothing from Hot Toys.

New SW show with 'new' characters, gets a Hot Toys lineup.

I don't even think it's a licensing issue. Howard straight up said at a convention overseas that he has "no interest" in a Joaquin Phoenix Joker.

How times have changed. If this were 2010 I bet we'd have every version of Arthur imagineable.

Hot Toys is so boring now.

I know, but that Luke has a bit more than a few pieces of armor switched out. And that was still a shit tactic that many fans rightfully pissed on.

I heard Warner don't want to give the license to toy companies. And what happened with Luke is the reason a Deluxe Mando could happen, it's the exact same thing.

Well yeah, I can see them trying to shovel out a complete version, with the infant. But without it, it would be even more of a joke.

Like... two different rags to put over basic figure? Other than second head sculpt and switch-out hair pieces they aren't different, should've been one single release for $350 instead of three releases for $750.

I agree. Just seems like this might be the worst yet. If the only thing they offer up is the full Beskar armor.

Yeah that rotj Luke was So f’d, it was like as soon as we got Luke in hand they were like “shoulda bought this one”. I definitely see them doing that with mando, I have zero faith in hot toys caring about the customer

It doesn’t promote repeat business. Fool me once...

Really cool looking troopers. Probably the one aspect of the new movie I liked was with these two.

I prefer the red one. Looks better than the standard Sith Trooper.

I do like the red armor. I may pick up one of these or the regular Sith trooper.

Am I the only one that likes the non-beskar look better than the full beskar? It looks way more interesting with all the mismatching pieces of armor. The full beskar looks cool, but a bit too clean in my opinion.

I'd love a Cara Dune figure btw, but so far HT seems to just make the helmeted characters.

Probably cheaper since they don’t have to pay any actors for the likeness I guess
