In the original Jurassic Park, our final glimpse of the magic of the cloned dinosaurs is of the escaped Tyrannosaurus-Rex just having fended off the ferocious Velociraptors for our heroes. She bellows out an earth-shattering roar in the visitor center rotunda as a banner reading “WHEN DINOSAURS RULED THE EARTH” gently falls down in front of her. Without a doubt, the scene is one of the most memorable in cinematic history.

Long-time fans of Chronicle Collectibles know we have wanted to do this particular piece ever since we started making Jurassic Park statues. After countless hours of research and design, we are finally ready to bring forth our new limited edition 1:9 scale T. Rex in the Rotunda statue. Yes, you read that correctly, 1:9 SCALE! At approximately 21.5” tall by 22.5” in diameter, this is the LARGEST Tyrannosaurus-Rex beyond our 1:5 full-size Tyrannosaurus-Rex. This also means that the T. Rex in the Rotunda statue is in scale with the Owen & Blue statues.
This magnificent piece presents T. Rex with her mouth in a roaring pose as she stands defiantly atop a scene-specific circular base. Underneath her is a cutaway revealing dinosaur fossils buried underneath. The “WHEN DINOSAURS RULED THE EARTH” banner seemingly defies gravity as it drapes down below her. And sharp-eyed fans will be pleased to see that Rexy comes battle-damaged with wounds inflicted during the Velociraptor fight.

With the 1:9 scale T. Rex in the Rotunda statue, Chronicle has brought CG glory to life and captured one of the greatest scenes in dinosaur film history! If you’re a Jurassic Park fan, you’ll deeply regret missing out on this 1:9 scale T. Rex in the Rotunda statue once it’s sold out.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?
The Rotunda Rex Statue specially features:
  • Approximately 21.5 inches tall and 22.5" base diameter
Edition Size: TBD
Price: $1349.99

I didn't realize how large this was supposed to be. You'd think the 1/9 scale would be a decent clue. Aren't they doing a tiny version or am I thinking of something else?

I thought someone else was talking about doing a smaller one, but now I can’t remember who it was. Prime, maybe?

That’s probably it since they are doing smaller scale statues.

I wish I could have gone to that convention this year. I like seeing what Chronicle brings.

I'm glad they took the criticism to heart about the paint on the break out Rex. This looks better.

It definitely does. I wish someone was there to take more pics. They’ll bring it to SDCC, but the lighting in their display there doesn’t make it easy to take good pics. It’s much better conditions at the smaller convention.

Wow, this is a grail piece for uberfans. I’m not even that big on Jurassic Park anymore and I’d say that would be a centerpiece in my collection.

The artisans at Chronicle Collectibles pay homage to one of a handful of dinosaurs from Jurassic Park shown on-screen via all-practical effects with their Jurassic Park 1/4-scale Dilophosaurus Statue. Dilophosaurus’s curious expression is fully realized in one of the two heads included with the piece, which can be readily switched to the other to capture that signature look with the extended frills and screaming mouth.

The Dilophosaurus Statue is limited edition, and direct purchases from Chronicle Collectibles’ site will include an exclusive — a Barbasol 1/4 scale cryo-can.

• The Dilophosaurus Statue is crafted in hand painted poly-resin.
• 14" tall x 21" long x 12" deep.
• Switch out head for extended frill, open mouth display option
• Limited edition: TBD
• Chronicle Collectibles Exclusive: 1/4 scale Barbasol cryo-can- limited to direct orders only!
• Estimated to ship Q2 2020
• Priced at $899 (and eligible for no-interest payment plans)
