Oh yeah, they definitely opened it then. Wouldn’t doubt what they probably took toy photography and/or did a review on it and slapped it up on eBay afterwards. People do that with 1/6 figures. Or they used to.
Wasn’t going to get that. Avoided all the reviews so far. Just seeing your thumbnail and then hearing you praise it so much. Ugh. I can’t deny it looks good, I just don’t care for the Ginyu Force. Seems well made too, the armor pads excluded.
They’re only doing four total figures. I may as well just get them to have some Namek Saga figures. I kinda wish they would slow down with this line and only do one figure every other month.
I’m also on the fence about Jackie Chun. It’s been ages since I watched the original series, but was he predominantly featured in it? Is it even worth having him on the shelf if I already have Master Roshi? I already blew money completing the Dragon Ball set for Shenron by getting both Bulmas and that ridiculous Tao Pai Pai.
By the way, I’ve been seeing a SHIT TON of QC issues come up for older 1/6 figures, many of which I own, and it’s really making me just want to sell off my entire 1/6 collection, or at least everything but the Preds, Star Wars and Batman stuff. Might keep the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Everything else would have to go. So much damn pleather in this hobby. Makes me want to vomit thinking of the money spent on this shit, only for it to deteriorate after a handful of years have passed.
Jackie Chun was only at the first world tournament as far as I'm aware. My memory of DB is very vague. It's an okay figure I guess but nothing remarkable. King Piccolo is pretty great and his height is gigantic, and I hope the new Piccolo is that tall since he's always been underscaled.
Undecided on if I’ll get Jackie Chun or not. Already have two Bulmas and Kid Gokus.
Also, I don’t think Piccolo will be as big as King Piccolo, as he is way too tall. He’s close to twice the size of the adult Goku figures. If he is, it will be utterly and completely out of scale. The reason King Piccolo is so large is because the Dragon Ball line is oversized.
Pretty sure the new Piccolo will only be a head or two taller than Goku himself. Also think the Torso and arms will be tweaked a bit.
It’s odd how he’s limited to two, but Ginyu is limited to one. There’s only one pose most people will have Ginyu in—the team pose with the rest of the Fruitloop Force.
There’s really only one person that matches up with this version of Jiren and that’s Goku. I suppose you could argue that you’d need another for the Frieza and Goku team up moment that got him disqualified.
I was going to use my iPhone to stream me drawing on the iPad like an idiot, but I figured out how to stream directly from the iPad and I have a Snowball mic I haven't used in years so this should be a pretty good stream. I might do it for an hour or so depending on how many show up.
