At this point it’s better to just stick with smaller scaled stuff. It’s cheaper and it’s more likely to actually come to life than stay in announcement hell.
A few years back I would have laughed at you for saying that, but it’s honestly the truth now. For what you get, many 1/6 figures today are some of the most overpriced figures you can buy. And there’s no signs of the inflation stopping. As long as Disney properties keep pulling in the money, things won’t likely change.

1/6 is dying, it's been clear for about two years now. The only thing sustaining the market is Disney trash that only the Chinese that live in shoebox apartments are sustaining it.

I wouldn’t really say it’s dying just yet, but it’s definitely evolving into something that a lot of people are either uninterested in or they’re becoming priced out of. To be fair, everything is too high now, but I feel like the interest in 1/6 is beginning to shift back to smaller scale lines.

I'm all but out on 1/6. At some point I'll pick up a Tech Noir Terminator and the battle damaged Robocop set, and I'm done. My collection will be down to five figures total. A 1/6 doll now costs as much as a mid-range camera lens or a Thinkpad laptop. It's unjustifiable at this point to carry on. Honestly I might be done with collecting in general, Chinese scalpers buying out entire preorder allocations of everything in Japan have bled every quart of fun I had with this hobby dry.

Anything I'd even be interested at this point is being made by cheaper companies or third party nobodies. The problem is groups like Storm and Figuarts are raising their prices. 1/12 and 1/10 shouldn't be $100 or over and it's getting there in the next year or two.

The last new HT I got was Neo, but prior to that it's been sometime since the last one. I bought some older stuff but anything "new" that I actually would buy is given the D-Team for sculpting. I was going to get that John Wick until he was given that phoned in likeness.

The import figure market has been raising stupidly high the last few years.

I gave up on Figuarts a couple of years back. They stopped releasing anything interesting and well-made in favour of utterly phoned-in MCU and Star Wars releases. The only company making anything I'd consider good at this point is Mafex with their comic-accurate figures.

Of their DB line, the Super Broly was the only thing worth the cost this year.

I still like Figuarts, but they could definitely do better—and should. Mafex just costs so goddamn much now.

They're good, but they've been phoning in a lot of shit lately. Gogeta being the worst offender.

3k its a bit nuts, I'd like to get it but I wouldn't even know where to put her. I guess I'll wait for the smaller version

I can't wait to have this and put her on some fighting poses with Wesker, the articulation on that body goes beyond what any HT body could do even without any clothing.

And I like the holo effect on the box, but seeing how the inside looks it gives me the feeling that HT barely cared, it doesn't look like premium packaging. Especially the outfit, it's just thrown in there
