Took a while, but here are two pictures I took of my Maul figure.

Never displaying this figure with the hood. Hope that they tweak Qui-Gon a little before release. Pretty sure Obi-Wan is getting announced this holiday season.

Ironic, the Maul that comes without the hood is the one that I’m using with the Hasbro speeder (with the screw holes facing away) as my Tattooine Maul. And I’m using a better robe than what Hot Toys provided. Such irony.

The reason it’s shiny is because it’s properly polished Mandalorian armor. It has to be beskar. What he had before just looked like scavenged gear.

Definitely passing on this in favor of

a fully armored version presumably from the season finale. As soon as he put the new shoulder pad on I felt stupid about buying the Black Series figure and preordering the Vintage Collection Mando.

If the show continues to hold my interest, that is. I'm really looking forward to the next episode Friday.

I’m sure Hot Toys will include some extra Beskar pieces.

My black series figure will be here sometime this week. Already have a soft-goods cape for it.

The pilot was better than I expected, those 38 minutes were better than anything in the sequel trilogy. I know it's a low bar but it's something. I think I'm going to pre-order the Mando later this week.

Honestly, I was worried this character would suck balls. He’s actually charismatic enough to warrant getting some figures though. Go figure. Yes, pun intended.

I think Hot Toys has some tough choices going forward. Creative freedom is better left to statues. It’s time to enhance the sculpts of these figures with digital technology.

I don’t want to say outright cheat, but come on man. Do something. That looks nothing like her, the costume and hairstyle notwithstanding.

She's still awful, but this one is even worse. And I didn't know such a thing was possible, I have to wonder if HT is trolling here
